Vatican City is a landlocked country in Southern Europe and is located in Rome and thus limits only to Italy. The state is the world's smallest town both in area and population. The State is the seat of the Pope, Catholicism supreme leader and is a choice monarchy. The state is closely associated with Italy and most of the communication is in Italian, but Latin is the state's official language.

In the city you find a cultural places like St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums. They have some of the world's most famous paintings and sculptures.

The unique economics of the Vatican is financially supported by the sale of stamps and tourist mementos, fees for admission to museums, and the sale of publications.

The Popes have generally resided in the area that in 1929 became Vatican City since the return from Avignon in 1377, but have also at times resided in the Quirinal Palace in Rome and elsewhere.
