Hillsboro is the fifth largest city in the u.s. State of Oregon, and is the county seat of Washington County. The city is located in the Tualatin Valley on the West side of the Portland metropolitan area. Hillsboro is located about 27 km to the West of Portland and just to the West of Beaverton, at an altitude of 59 m above sea level.
The climate in Hillsboro is moderated by the Pacific Ocean which has helped to make the region suitable for fishing, hunting, food gathering, and agriculture. The city has more than twenty parks and that mixed other Hillsboro Stadium. Nine areas in the city are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Old Scotch Church, Imbrie Farm, Harold Wass Ray House, the Old Washington County Jail and the Washington County Museum. The city has three commercial movie theaters with a total of 30 monitors, the Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra, Hillsboro Artists ' Regional Theatre, Glenn Viola Walters & Cultural Arts Center and Hillsboro libraries. |
